Free car radio codes, done properly.
Enter your radio serial. If we can work the code out ourselves, it's free in 24 hours, with an instant service if you can't wait. If we have to buy it in, you'll see the price before you pay.
How it works
A car radio code is worked out from the radio's serial number. For Ford, Renault, Dacia, Toyota and most other makes FreeCarRadioCodes does that for nothing with a 24-hour wait, or straight away with the instant service.
Find your serial
It's on the radio's screen or its label. We show you where.
Choose free or now
Free is emailed in 24 hours. The instant service puts it on your screen instantly.
Enter the code
We send the steps for your radio with the code.
Pick your make
Free means we work the code out ourselves. A price means it only exists in the manufacturer's database, so we buy it in.
About us
We've been decoding car radios since 2021. Most codes can be worked out from the serial, so we give those away and ask nothing but a review. A few makes only exist in the manufacturer's database, so those cost money, and we say so up front. Either way it's the same code, checked by the same team.
Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes for the makes marked free. Enter the serial, choose the free option, and the code is emailed 24 hours later. The instant service puts it on your screen instantly.
Why do some makes cost money?
Nissan, Volkswagen and SEAT codes come from the manufacturer's own database. Nobody can generate those, so we buy them in and charge for them.
Is this a radio code generator?
For Ford, Renault, Dacia, Toyota and several others, yes: the code is calculated from the serial. For the makes with a price there is no generator, only the manufacturer's database.
Where is my radio serial?
On the screen when you hold two preset buttons, or on the label on the radio's casing. Our serial finder shows both for each make.
What if the code doesn't work?
Check the serial first, then tell us. Free codes are re-checked free. Paid codes are covered by our refund policy.
