Free Becker radio code from your BE serial
A Becker radio code is calculated from the BE serial on the label, fourteen characters starting BE. FreeCarRadioCodes works it out free with a 24-hour wait, or straight away for $5.
Where the serial is
The serial is on the label on top of or beside the radio casing, so the unit has to come out. Look for BE followed by 12 characters, such as BE250918004576. The first four digits after BE tell us which model it is. Becker radios were fitted to Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari and others, so the badge on the fascia may not say Becker at all.
What happens next
Type the serial and we check it straight away. BE serials are calculated by our own software, so you choose free in 24 hours or $5 right now. Becker navigation units are a different job and we handle those by email, so get in touch if yours has a map screen.
What we cover
| Radio | Code |
|---|---|
| Grand Prix and Mexico | instant |
| Traffic Pro and Indianapolis | instant |
| Mercedes-fitted Audio 10 and Audio 30 | instant |
| Porsche and Ferrari Becker units | instant |
How to enter the code
- 1Turn the radio on; the display shows CODE.
- 2Type the four digits with the number keys on the fascia.
- 3The radio unlocks as soon as the fourth digit goes in; on some units, press the tuning knob to confirm.
- 4If it refuses, leave the radio on for a few minutes; each wrong try makes the wait longer.
Becker radio code questions
Is a Becker radio code free?
Yes. The code is calculated from the BE serial, so we work it out ourselves and email it free 24 hours later. Pay $5 and it arrives in minutes.
Is there a real Becker radio code generator?
Yes, for BE serials. The code is a calculation on the serial and our software runs it. It won't work without the serial from the label, so a tool that asks only for the model can't help.
Can the code come from the VIN?
No. Becker radios were fitted to lots of makes and often swapped between cars, so the VIN doesn't lead to the code. The BE serial on the label is the only thing we need.
My Becker has a map screen. Is that covered here?
Not on this page. Becker navigation units such as the BE2580 are unlocked a different way and we handle those by email. Send us the serial from the label and we'll tell you what's involved.
The radio says Mercedes on the front. Is it still a Becker?
Often, yes. Mercedes fitted Becker radios for years, and the label on the casing gives it away with a serial starting BE. If yours starts AL or MF instead, it's an Alpine unit, so use the Mercedes page.
