Refund Policy

Most of the codes on FreeCarRadioCodes.com are completely free. Where a paid decode is needed, your payment is covered by our money back promise: if we can't get you a working code, you get your money back in full.

Changed Your Mind?

No problem. If your code hasn't been retrieved or sent out yet, you can cancel within 2 hours of ordering and we will return the full amount.

Cancel later than that (but before your code has been sent) and we deduct a £5 admin charge from the refund, as work on your order will already be underway.

Once your code has been sent to you the job is done, so the order can no longer be cancelled.

To cancel, email [email protected] as soon as you can. We're around 8:30am until 4:30pm (London/GMT).

When a Code Isn't Available

The odd radio sits outside what our decoders and databases can reach. If that happens with yours, we'll email you to explain and the full amount goes straight back to you the same working day, without you needing to ask.

Code Not Unlocking Your Radio?

As long as the details you gave us match what's printed on the radio's label, a code that fails to unlock your radio is covered by the same money back promise.

So we can look into it, send us:

• A photo of the radio label with the serial number clearly readable
• A short clip of you entering the code and the radio rejecting it

If our checks confirm the code was wrong, we'll either send a corrected code or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. Without the evidence above we may not be able to approve the claim.

Can't film the radio? If you've already had a different code for the same serial from a dealer or another company, a copy of that receipt (showing the serial number and the code they supplied) works instead. We only ask so we can verify the fault and keep the service fair for everyone.

Sent Us the Wrong Serial?

If the serial number (or other details) on your order turn out to be wrong and we have to run the decode again, there's a £5 charge for the extra processing. Each product page shows where the serial lives on your radio, so it's worth a double check before you order.

When Will the Money Arrive?

Approved refunds are sent back the same working day, always to whatever you paid with originally:

• Debit/credit card: allow 2 to 5 working days for it to show, depending on your bank
• PayPal: usually back in your account within 24 hours
