Free Dacia radio code from the precode or VIN
A Dacia radio code is worked out from the four-character precode on the radio label, such as K307, the same way as a Renault. FreeCarRadioCodes does that free with a 24-hour wait, or straight away for $5, and can look it up from the VIN.
Where the serial is
The precode sits on a small label on the side or top of the radio, usually as the last four characters of a long part number like 281164920RTK307. On Media Nav units it's on the label behind the screen. If you can't get to the label, switch the box to VIN and type the 17 characters from the windscreen plate or your V5C. Dacia VINs start UU1.
What happens next
Type the precode and we check it straight away. A precode, or the long label number ending in one, is worked out by our software, so you choose free in 24 hours or $5 right now. A VIN lookup goes to our decoding desk and arrives by email within 24 hours whichever you pick.

Dacia radio code questions
Is a Dacia radio code free?
Yes. Dacia radios are Renault radios with a different badge, and the precode gives us everything we need. Free means the code is emailed 24 hours later. $5 means it arrives in minutes.
Is there a real Dacia radio code generator?
Yes, for precodes. The code is a calculation on the four characters and our software runs it. There's no generator that works without the precode or the VIN, so be wary of anything that claims otherwise.
Can the code come from the VIN?
Yes. Switch the box to VIN and enter the 17 characters, usually starting UU1. Our decoding desk finds the radio on the car's record, so allow up to 24 hours for that route, free or $5.
My Duster has a Media Nav. Does the same code work?
The Media Nav wants a code like any other Dacia radio, and it's worked out from the precode in the same way. The difference is how you enter it. Media Nav has an on-screen keypad, so type the four digits and press OK.
I've had the battery out before. Is it the same code?
Yes. The code is tied to the radio and never changes. If you saved it last time, use it again. If not, the precode gives the same code every time.
