We collect the least we can get away with, and we never sell it. This page says what we hold, why, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

When you request a code we collect your email address, the radio serial you type, and the make you choose. If you pay, we also keep the order amount and a payment reference from Stripe or PayPal.

We read your rough country from your IP address so we can show prices in the right currency. We don't store the full IP address against your order.

Why we need it

The serial is how we work out the code. The email is where we send it. The country sets your currency. The payment reference is so we can find your order if you ask for a refund. That's the whole list.

Cookies

We set one cookie of our own. It remembers your serial and make while you move through the checkout, and it's gone when your session ends.

We also use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people use. It sets its own cookies. You can turn these off with the cookie choice at the bottom of the page, and the site still works fine without them.

Who else sees your data

A few services help us run the site. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.

Stripe and PayPal take your payment. You give your card or PayPal details to them directly, not to us. Their own privacy policies apply to that step.

Brevo delivers our emails, so your email address and the message we send you pass through their system.

Trustpilot sends a review invitation on our behalf, and only after a code has been sent to you. It's one email. You can ignore it, and we don't chase.

Google receives analytics data as described above.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't send newsletters or marketing emails. The only emails you get from us are about your code, your order, or a reply to something you asked.

How long we keep it

Completed orders are kept for 6 years, because accounting rules say we must. That includes the serial, the code, your email, and the payment reference.

If you type a serial but never finish the request, we keep that abandoned request for 30 days and then delete it.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on servers in the UK and the EU. The services above may process it in other countries under their own safeguards. We don't move it anywhere for any other reason.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. You can also ask us to send it to you in a plain file.

We'll answer within one month. There's no charge. If you're not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Asking us to delete your data

Email [email protected] from the address you used with us and say you'd like your data deleted. We'll confirm when it's done. The one thing we may have to keep is the basic record of a paid order for the 6-year accounting period, with everything personal stripped out where we can.
