Free Alfa Romeo radio code from the label serial
An Alfa Romeo radio code is worked out from the serial on the label on the radio casing, usually a line starting A2C. FreeCarRadioCodes decodes it free with a 24-hour wait, or immediately for $5.
Where the serial is
The serial is on the sticker on the radio casing, so the radio has to come out. Alfa Romeo radios sit in a cage: two flat keys, or a thin strip of plastic, pushed into the slots either side release it. On the MiTo and Giulietta the unit is Continental and the serial is the line starting A2C. On the 147, 156, 159 and GT it is often Bosch or Blaupunkt, starting 815CM or BP. Use the whole line, no spaces.

How to enter the code
- 1Turn the ignition on and switch the radio on. The screen shows CODE, or RADIO CODE on some units, and waits for four digits.
- 2Press preset 1 repeatedly until the first digit is right. Do the same with presets 2, 3 and 4 for the other digits. Steering wheel arrows pick the digit on some Giulietta units.
- 3Check all four digits on the screen before you confirm. A wrong entry counts as a try.
- 4Press and hold preset 6 until the radio plays. On units with a menu knob, press the knob to confirm.

Is there a real Alfa Romeo radio code generator?
Yes, for most Alfa Romeo radios. Continental A2C and Daiichi codes are calculated from the serial, and we do that free. Bosch and Blaupunkt units need a person to look them up, so those take a day. No Alfa Romeo code comes from a paid manufacturer database.
