Free Dacia Duster radio code
A Dacia Duster radio code is calculated from the four-character precode on the radio label, or looked up from the VIN if the radio is the original. FreeCarRadioCodes does that free with a 24-hour wait, or straight away for $5.
Dacia Duster
Dusters use Renault radios. Most have the Radio Connect or the older Tuner List unit, and higher trims the Media Nav touchscreen. The label on the casing shows a precode of one letter and three digits, like K307, or a 2811 part number ending in the precode. The VIN on the windscreen plate works for a factory-fitted unit, though VIN lookups go to our desk and take 24 hours.
Same radios, same serials, same offer as every Dacia. All Dacia radios
Where the serial is
The precode sits on a small label on the side or top of the radio, usually as the last four characters of a long part number like 281164920RTK307. On Media Nav units it's on the label behind the screen. If you can't get to the label, switch the box to VIN and type the 17 characters from the windscreen plate or your V5C. Dacia VINs start UU1.
How to enter the code
- 1Turn the radio on; the display shows CODE or 0000.
- 2Press preset 1 until the first digit is right, then 2, 3 and 4 for the others.
- 3Press and hold preset 6 until the radio beeps or the display changes.
- 4On Media Nav, type the four digits on the screen keypad and press OK.
Dacia Duster · Questions people ask
Does a Duster Media Nav ask for a code?
Usually not. It locks to the car instead. If your Duster shows CODE, it is the Radio Connect or Tuner List unit, and the code is worked out from its label.
Is the Duster precode the same as a Renault one?
Same format, same calculation. Dacia radios are Renault radios with a different badge, so one letter and three digits from the label is all we need.
How do I confirm the code on a Duster radio?
Set the four digits with presets 1 to 4, then hold preset 6 until the radio beeps. It plays straight away if the code is right.
