Fiat Punto

Most Puntos, Grande Puntos and Punto Evos have a Blaupunkt unit with a BP serial on the label, and later ones a Continental unit with an A2C serial. Older Puntos may have a Bosch unit with an 815CM serial. The label is on the casing, so the radio comes out with release keys or flat tools in the slots either side. Copy the whole serial as printed.

Where the serial is

The serial is on the sticker on the radio casing, so the radio has to come out. Fiat radios sit in a cage: two flat keys, or a thin strip of plastic, pushed into the slots either side release it. On Continental units use the line starting A2C. On Bosch units it starts 815CM, and on Blaupunkt it starts BP. Older Daiichi units have a shorter serial, letters then digits, on the same sort of sticker.

How to enter the code

1. 1Turn the ignition on and switch the radio on. The screen shows CODE and waits for four digits.
2. 2Press preset 1 repeatedly until the first digit is right. Do the same with presets 2, 3 and 4 for the other digits. On units with a menu knob, turn it to pick each digit and press it to move on.
3. 3Check all four digits on the screen before you confirm. A wrong entry counts as a try.
4. 4Press and hold preset 6 until the radio plays. On knob units, press the knob to confirm. On Uconnect touchscreens, tap the digits and press OK.
