Free Ford Ka radio code
Early Ka models have a Ford 4500, 5000 or 6000 CD unit with a V or M serial, while the later Fiat-built Ka has a Blaupunkt unit with a BP serial, and both are calculated from the serial. FreeCarRadioCodes works it out free with a 24-hour wait, or for $5.
Ford Ka
The original Ka has the 4500 or 5000 RDS unit, or the 6000 CD on later cars, all with a V or M serial you can see by holding presets 1 and 6. The second Ka was built alongside the Fiat 500, and its radio is a Blaupunkt unit with a BP serial on the label. BP serials go to our decoding desk, free or $5, but 24 hours either way.

Where the serial is
Turn the radio on, then press and hold presets 1 and 6 together for a few seconds. The serial appears on the screen as a V or M followed by six digits. If nothing shows, the serial is printed on a label on the side or back of the radio. You'll need to pull the unit out for that one.
How to enter the code
- 1Turn the radio on; the display shows CODE.
- 2Press preset 1 until the first digit is right, then 2, 3 and 4 for the others.
- 3Press and hold 5 to confirm.
- 4If it says LOCKED, leave the radio on for 30 minutes and try again.
Ford Ka · Questions people ask
My Ka serial starts BP. Is that right?
Yes, if it is the Fiat-built Ka. Send the BP serial and the code comes back within 24 hours, free or $5. It cannot be done on the spot but it is the same code.
Where is the serial on an original Ka radio?
On the 6000 CD hold presets 1 and 6 with the radio on. On the 4500 or 5000 RDS units it is on the label on the casing, V or M plus six digits.
Is the Ka radio code the same as a Fiat 500 code?
Same type of unit, different code. The code is worked out from the serial, so your Ka radio gets its own. Send the serial off its own label.
