A Honda Jazz radio code comes from the serial, which most Jazz radios show on the screen when you hold presets 1 and 6. Because it can't be worked out on the spot, the Honda desk handles it for a small charge and the email lands within 24 hours, usually far sooner.

Most Jazz models have a Honda unit made by Panasonic or Alpine, and they lock the same way. With the ignition on and CODE showing, hold presets 1 and 6 and the serial appears. Where the serial is
Turn the ignition on and switch the radio on, so the display shows CODE. Now hold down presets 1 and 6 at the same time. After a few seconds the screen shows the serial, sometimes split across two screens with a U and an L part. Older radios don't do this trick, so the serial is on a label on the side of the unit or on a sticker in the glovebox.
How to enter the code

- 4If it shows ERR E, switch the ignition off for an hour and try once more.

Holding 1 and 6 on my Jazz does nothing. Why?
The screen has to say CODE first, with the ignition on. If it still shows nothing, the unit is an early one, and its serial is printed on the casing label.
Is a Jazz radio code free?
No. Honda serials don't give up the code by formula the way Ford and Renault ones do, so ours carries a small charge and comes back from the Honda desk within 24 hours, often faster.
