Free Lancia radio code from the label serial
A Lancia radio code is worked out from the serial on the label on the radio casing, usually a line starting A2C. FreeCarRadioCodes decodes it free with a 24-hour wait, or immediately for $5.
Where the serial is
The serial is on the sticker on the radio casing, so the radio has to come out. Lancia radios sit in a cage: two flat keys, or a thin strip of plastic, pushed into the slots either side release it. The Ypsilon, Delta and Musa use Continental units, so look for the line starting A2C. Older Lybra and Thesis units are often Bosch or Blaupunkt, starting 815CM or BP. Use the whole line, no spaces.

How to enter the code
- 1Turn the ignition on and switch the radio on. The screen shows CODE, or RADIO CODE on some units, and waits for four digits.
- 2Press preset 1 repeatedly until the first digit is right. Do the same with presets 2, 3 and 4 for the other digits.
- 3Check all four digits on the screen before you confirm. A wrong entry counts as a try.
- 4Press and hold preset 6 until the radio plays. On units with a menu knob, press the knob to confirm.
Lancia radio code questions
Is there a real Lancia radio code generator?
Yes, for most Lancia radios. Continental A2C and Daiichi codes are calculated from the serial, and we do that free. Bosch and Blaupunkt units need a person to look them up, so those take a day. No Lancia code comes from a paid manufacturer database.
Is a Lancia radio code free?

My Lancia radio is the same as a Fiat one. Does that matter?
Not at all. Lancia and Fiat share the same Continental, Bosch and Blaupunkt units, and the serial is decoded the same way. Pick Lancia here or Fiat there, the code that comes back is identical.
My serial is only six digits. Is that right?
It can be. Older units carry a short serial of four to ten digits, sometimes with a letter or two in front. We accept those, but they go to our decoding desk, so the code comes back within 24 hours, free or $5.
What does WAIT mean on a Lancia radio?
You've had three wrong tries and the radio has locked itself for 30 minutes. Leave the ignition on and let the time run. The wait gets longer with each round, so check the serial before you try again.
