Where the serial is
The serial is on a label on the radio casing, so the unit has to come out of the dash. Most Land Rover radios are Becker-made, so the serial starts BE and runs to 14 characters. Discovery, Freelander and Range Rover units of that era are all much the same. Alpine units, common in the Defender and some Freelanders, have M plus six digits. Copy the whole line, and watch for a 0 that's really an O.
