Free Renault Master radio code
A Renault Master radio code is calculated from the four-character precode on the radio label, or looked up from the VIN if the unit is the original. FreeCarRadioCodes does that free with a 24-hour wait, or straight away for $5.
Renault Master
Most Master vans have the Renault Update List or Tuner List unit, and later ones the Media Nav or Radio Connect. The label on the casing shows a precode of one letter and three digits, or a part number starting 8200 or 2811 with the precode at the end. The VIN on the door plate or windscreen works for a factory-fitted radio, though VIN lookups go to our desk and take 24 hours.

Where the serial is
The precode is on a white label stuck to the side or top of the radio. Look for a short code like K307 or K205, often the last four characters of a longer number such as 281164920RTK307. Some newer units show the precode on screen when you hold 1 and 6. No label and no screen? Switch the box to VIN and type the 17 characters from your windscreen plate or V5C.
How to enter the code
- 1Turn the radio on; the display shows CODE or 0000.
- 2Press preset 1 until the first digit is right, then 2, 3 and 4 for the others.
- 3Press and hold preset 6 until the radio beeps or the display changes.
- 4If it refuses, switch off, wait a minute and enter it again slowly.
Renault Master · Questions people ask
The Master is a Vauxhall Movano. Same radio code?
Same vans, same radios. If the label carries a Renault precode of one letter and three digits, send it here and the code is worked out the same way.
Is a Master radio code free for a fleet van?
Yes. The code comes from the radio precode, so a fleet van, a motorhome or a private van all go through the same way. Free in 24 hours or $5 right now.
My Master is a motorhome. Is the radio the same?
Usually, if the converter left the Renault unit in. If they fitted an aftermarket radio, the code is in that radio's own handbook, not on this page.
